On this page I'll pass along some of my experiences both good and bad when it comes to boating and safety for those with a disability. Just remember that these are for spinal cord injuries but in many cases they can be considered universal as well. I'd like everyone to know that boating can be done safely as long as you use some common sense and listen to your body. I know that for me if it is chilly or hot and humid that I must pay close attention to my body and when symptoms begin to show that you're having a problem you need to get off the water and either get warmed up or cooled off. Since boating is usually a summer time activity heat will be more of a problem especial for those with higher level spinal cord injuries.

Since these photos were taken the lift was removed from the inside of the boat and mounted on the frame of the boat trailer. Also a power winch was added to make lifting and lowering much easier and safer for everyone who may use it. Currently I don't have any photos of the lift as it is now but I'll try to get a few with it folded down and ready for travel.
